Tools at Your Campus?
At DeVry we have some pretty cool resources for our Game and Simulation Programming (GSP) program. We can make simple games with Game Maker (GM). Though GM is for beginners it still is a great tool to learn basic game design. We have been using Unreal Development Kit (UDK) for our level design. This tool is okay, but I would rather switch to Unity Pro. We also use XNA Game Studio which I haven't used. For each of these you can find many tutorials on, but what sort of game design and programming tools do you suggest be made available at your school? Give some reasons why. Share the tools your school uses now.
